Motorway signs in Ireland
Motorway signs guide you onto, along and off the motorway, covering route numbers, exits, lane use and the overhead signals that manage traffic. They are often blue, and reading them in good time matters because motorway speeds leave little room for last-minute decisions. Learner drivers may not use motorways, so these signs become relevant once you have passed, but the theory test still expects you to know them. Browse the motorway signs below, each with its meaning, then practise in a real quiz.
